Review on KEF LSX Black Wireless Music System: Exceptional Sound and Seamless Connectivity (Pair) by Tylin Meyer

It took me some time to understand the nonsense that everyone admires. It was the second day they'd had them, and it wasn't until after two years of trying the Audioengine HD3, Edifier 1000 and Sonos that they were able to pass the test. On day one I thought, well, Sonos sounds great and these sound different, but do they sound better? Better subjective. Better enough to subjectively justify its price. Arbitrarily. Now I understand that Sonos is a great speaker, especially in terms of connectivity and ease of use. The Audioengine HD3 is a great speaker. The Edifier 1000 is a great speaker, especially on the tabla it feels like the titanium tweeter gives the tabla such a delicate buttery smoothness. Absurd, but it's the best I can describe. So today is the second day of testing KEF and the third day of testing Audioengine HD3 and the six hundredth day of listening to Sonos. A few Witbears to sit up and take notice of. I started with several symphonies, the famous Amadeus, the famous Dvorak. The sparkling eyes of Anushka Shankar. A young adult novel by Zakir Hussain. Then Kiara Gold and Tennessee. Then Michael Jackson's Scream on Spotify, Thriller, Scream, Dangerous and damn 90's music makes them shine! Each of these excellent speakers reproduces all music very well. Why am I writing this review for KEF LSX? Place. Separation. If it matters to you, there are many. Sonos makes music sound big and big, but it's still right in front of you, and they capture every detail, just like KEF. The Audioengine HD3 does the same, separately but still all behind that monitor between the speakers. KEF LSX, they do that detail, but they narrow that sound a bit, stretching it out and spreading it around you instead of Sonos slapping you in the face. Is it worth? I do not know. But it's a completely different experience than some of the other excellent speakers. Turn on Michael Jackson's Scream and decide for yourself. (I won't give that five stars because if Sonos is good at communicating and easy to use, so should KEF, if they pride themselves on their sound, which is undeniably great (Ten times the price of other good speakers, they're better learn how to use it properly.) I've started testing them as potential speakers for my office, but the more I listen to them, the more I want them around have from home.
