I can't believe how many positive reviews this soundbar has received. I recently bought my first TV since 2014. I chose the LG CX OLED. Due to the thinness of the paper, there isn't much room for speakers. In anticipation of this, we started experimenting with soundbars with different types of HTIBs. We tried two soundbars that either had terrible lip-sync issues or were so weak that the TV's speakers outperformed them. Switched to Polk's full 5.1 HTIB and ran into some issues. After reading many reviews that this Sony HTIB is a great middle ground, we gave it a try. Easy setup, some issues with subwoofer and arc connection, very clean looking but fairly straightforward process. We were shocked at how bad these speakers are. We tried several movies and settings on the soundbar and nothing helped the audio. Very empty and unconvincing. At 400 watts, I'm shocked at how weak this setup is. It took us 30 minutes from delivery to assembly and packaging for return. To say we are disappointed is a gross understatement. Rave reviews for this system that fills your room with rich sound. I have no idea how anyone can have a positive experience with such a sad Sony HTIB. To add to the weak sound, we had some connection issues with the arc and subwoofer. Trust me it's not worth your time or anywhere near the MSRP.
