If you are allergic to nickel, don't buy them! They are not pure stainless steel. Of course I knew they were painted in some way, but the paint or the metal itself contains nickel. I am severely allergic to nickel. I tried these piercings in my 2 cartilage and nose piercings. My cartilage is fairly new and responds to both holes. My nose has been pierced for over 15 years and I have responded to it. Aside from not being pure stainless steel, they are worth the money. They are very cute and bend easily to fit any piercing.
