I work a lot with 12V solar panels and 120VAC inverters. I primarily use 12AWG wire for 12V DC connections, but there are times when I need a larger gauge for higher current applications. This includes connecting batteries to 300W or 500W inverters where the current is more demanding than 12 AWG can safely operate. Since my inverters are relatively weak, I don't necessarily need a welding cable for the connections. That's where this 10AWG cable comes to the rescue. What I like Packaging without disappointment. There is no rigid shrink wrap to remove - just plastic tape that can be easily removed. o Separates cleanly. o Silicone insulation resists thermal degradation. simplicity in work. Tinned copper wire. Good conductivity of copper, but the tinned surface is resistant to corrosion. Coils are provided for proper storage. No loose strands or loops. What I do not like? I didn't find anything I didn't like about this cable. Summary Comments This is high quality 10 AWG tinned copper wire. It is flexible and easy to work with. The silicone insulation is resistant to thermal degradation. Each color comes with a spool for tidy storage. I recommend it.
