Although this Classic Cove & Bead bit was one of my first bits, I can understand why the Diablo bits are rated so highly. I've made nice looking trim cuts with it and I'm absolutely satisfied with this cutter. Since this is their Quadra-Cut, I've read that it allows wood router bits to glide across different types of wood with ease. After trying it on pine (softwood), my router slipped through like clockwork. Don't forget to use the extraction nozzle on the router as this creates a lot of wood dust! After going through several planks of pine, the bit continues to cut through the wood firmly and smoothly, leaving the wood smooth (no sanding required once I've used this bit). Overall I definitely recommend it for the Cove & Bead look and it's worth spending a few bucks more for the Quadra-Cut.
