According to Nike's sizing charts, the fit is correct, but it doesn't have the original branding of the previous Nike shoes we've bought. I followed the high ratings and ordered it without looking too closely. Remember this is not Nike. The tongue does not close from edge to edge and the Velcro will cut into the child's leg with prolonged use. You have to loosen it to make it snug, but then it's easy to pop out. As for the padding and leg rest on the inside, I'm not sure now or after closer inspection. Definitely a noticeable difference in quality between this and the original shoe. I just took a closer look when I started noticing some wear and general quality issues that I hadn't expected or seen on their previous Nike sneakers. I'm not sure why anyone would buy this when similar original shoes cost the same or less.
