I wanted something for emergencies in my RV. I already had a Midland er210, which is a reliable emergency radio, but the sound quality is so poor it gets annoying after a minute or two. This radio matches the er210 in every way, but the sound quality is good. Surprising for such a small radio being the same size as the er210. The solar panel will generate energy quite well. The crank turns easily. Yg is more suitable for reading/zone lighting; er210 offers space. I find that reception doesn't change on the er210 when the radios are plugged in, but the Aiworth suffers badly in reception and you have to move the antenna to a vertical position to remove it from the radio housing. The reception of both radios is excellent.
