I just got these headlights and overall I would say I got what I paid for. The quality isn't great, but two cost less than $20, so that's to be expected. My only complaint so far has to do with the radiation pattern, the photos in the description don't really illustrate well what you're actually getting. I bought them for close-up use on small electronics projects, so for many other purposes they're probably fine. The tight bar is VERY tight. When used close up, it illuminates a very small area very brightly. Setting"flood" is basically useless. While there's diffused light, it's so dim even at the brightest settings that it's useless for anything other than throwing some light into a pitch-black room. And if you did, the narrow beam would scatter enough light to be more useful and a lot brighter. For comparison, I used an Energizer AAA power adapter, which costs about $15. I'm much happier with its beam settings, both in narrow and flood modes. My batteries ran out so quickly that I decided to try rechargeable ones. If you're looking for something really cheap for camping or night trips they'll probably fit, but personally I wouldn't buy them again for my purposes. .
