Sink. My plastic trash can under the sink is 8.5 inches wide and about 12 inches high. The opening of these bags is perfect for the 8.5 inch width (snug fit but I'm happy with that) and you have to shake the bag to open it as it originally looked short but is over 12 inches deep. I love tie handles - when I grab a bag from the bin it's easy for me to grab the handles and pull the bag up and out. I didn't want a big bag because that's when the garbage under the sink starts to smell - it's the perfect size to fill up and then take outside to the bin before the odors/debris build up. I am very happy to find them as the smallest size in stores seems to be 8 gallons which is way too big for my under sink bin.
