Review on 🐸 FrogTape 1358463 Multi Surface Painting Tape: The Perfect Solution for All Your Painting Needs by Matt Conner

Great when used properly.

This is for those who draw little. I don't have time to learn insets (drawing a straight line freehand in artist's language) so I use these. It works. The application takes a long time. It's a pain in the butt. But worth it if you want a straight line. You have to place it exactly where you don't want the paint to penetrate. You MUST press it onto the edge very firmly to keep the paint from seeping through. A finger with a short nail works well. (Don't expect a recent manicure to last.) If the surface you're pressing on is freshly painted, you should wait for it to dry for at least two days, preferably longer, before applying the tape. You don't want to ruin the color you've already applied! A few tips after reading other people's complaints. Do not overload the brush. More color is not better. Just enough on the brush to apply a light layer. Leave to dry for at least an hour and then apply a second light coat. Do not press the brush against the belt. If you do, you're more likely to break through the barrier and the paint will seep through. Above all, I don't care what's on the label. DO NOT remove the tape until the paint is dry! JUST DON'T! And carefully remove the tape, pulling it down at an angle so as not to tear off the dried paint. Hope that helps.
