This review was only written for one day, so I can't comment on durability. But I went through all of its steps and made a few comments: First, the design is beautiful. You plug it into the back of your iMac, the final USB connector has some protrusions that fit into the small air vents that exist at the bottom of the iMac's screen (this applies to 2012 and later models), and then it sits he just below your screen. You have to hold onto your screen when you insert your USB stick, simply because your screen shuts down when you don't, but the device itself seems to stay firmly in place. Then there was some discussion about interference with Bluetooth devices - I'm not sure why this will bother. It's just a series of direct connections with no electricity. In any case, I haven't encountered any interference issues with either my magic Bluetooth keyboard (with number pad) or the trackpad, which is also Bluetooth. At least for now. The three USB 3.0 ports are FAST and I'm very happy with their speed even when I plug in a USB 2.0 stick. All three drives worked perfectly right out of the box. However, I'm a little sorry I didn't ditch the SD and mini SD versions in favor of a version with four USB 3.0 ports. This is because the SD drive is VERY SLOW. It takes about 30 seconds for the computer to even recognize it and takes forever just to copy or open files on the SD card. Also the mini (or micro?) SD slot doesn't work at all - probably because you can't insert the mini SD card directly - the drive is defective and tilted, which is why the card won. don't even suit him properly. If that were the case, I think it would be just as slow. I easily solve this problem with cheap adapters from Sandisk and other companies that accept SD or mini SD cards on one end and have a USB connector on the other. This allowed me to connect the SD card to one of the USB ports on this device. When I do that, the SD card's contents are read and written as fast as any USB 3 device - in other words, I can bypass the SD and mini SD ports entirely. Cards, then think again. But if you're buying it for a sleek USB expansion solution (and to get multiple ports on the FRONT of your iMac), then this is your baby. Just remember that these ports are NOT powered. So if you need to connect something that consumes power, such as a an external hard drive, it must have its own power supply! I hope this review is helpful. I will update it if I find the device stops working or causes Bluetooth issues in the future.
