These are seam rippers, they rip the seams. For that I give 2 stars. Unfortunately, whoever designed them didn't think through the whole process of how the lid actually works. First, the lid doesn't stick well to the ripper and it comes off when one of my other tools touches it. Second, if you're using a lid, you should probably have a plan as to what happens to the lid when you use the tool. It would be nice if the cap attached at both ends so I can attach it to the handle during use and then attach it back to the sharp part when I'm done. It works great as it has a pointed tip and a pointed tip, but it's not very well designed in terms of efficient use.
