We just got back from a nearly 4,000 mile 2 week trip to the Canadian Rockies which is why we bought this cooler. It was wonderful! (Ride AND cooler) We've stored bottled water, soda, sandwich meat, snacks and a few medicines in it that need to be chilled and it's worked great. Well, having said that, I have to point out a few things that are important to anyone who might want to buy one: It uses a decent amount of electricity and WILL drain your car's battery overnight (I have a lithium-ion starter, so it doesn't have t) . big deal when this happened to us once, after that we just took it to the hotel and plugged it in for the night) it keeps the cold better than it tries to cool warm things so if you can, cool water, drinks, etc. before putting them in this fridge whenever possible, and finally, be aware that from time to time a small drop of water will drip out of the vent in the radiator (not much, just occasional drips ). It was VERY nice not to have to worry about buying ice or hoping there would be enough left over in the hotel's ice machines in the morning to 'freeze' the cooler and then having to fight with water every time you did take something out of the cooler. , worrying about items in the fridge getting wet etc. My only regret is that I didn't buy any of these many years ago!
