Review on ⏱️ Silver Sabatier Dual Event Digital Timer for Enhanced Productivity and Efficiency by Chris Mickens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Dual counters with completely independent controls. Big Numbers. High contrast background. Great timer.

This is a cooking timer and does not show seconds. You might find fault with the lack of seconds on this timer, but if that's what you want, just search "timer hours minutes seconds" and you'll find more timers than you can imagine. The seconds digits are usually small on these timers. And sometimes there is only one digit for hours. There are many options for timers. You can buy whatever you want. This is a long term timer and minutes is the smallest resolution available. That's how it should be and there's nothing wrong with that. You just have to read the description before you buy it like everything else on Revain. Cooking in a matter of seconds is often reserved for the microwave, which has its own second timer. This timer counts both up and down. This timer can be up to 23 hours and 59 minutes. It's a long time to cook, but maybe it works if you have a smoker. As can be seen from the previous sentence, the maximum time is 59 minutes, which is quite logical. And 23 hours is the largest number of hours that can be programmed, which is also quite logical. So you can program the timer for one minute of a whole day. The alarm tone isn't very loud, but it goes on for a long time - about a minute before stopping. The digits will then continue to flash indefinitely and a double beep will sound intermittently. I let it blink and beep as I keep typing and it never seems to stop until you press the center button. If you press the middle button again, the countdown will start. And the only way to know the timer is running is to have a colon blinking in the middle - whether the count is up or down. If it doesn't blink, it doesn't work. To switch to another timer, just press Time 1 or Time 2 accordingly. So you can set them up individually, run them independently, pause them independently, or press and hold to restart them all individually. There is a pair of magnetic poles on the back. My last photo was taken on a black fridge door so it's not easy to tell where the timer ends and the black painted fridge begins. I took this as a telephoto lens to get further away so you can see what it looks like from the front. The close-up macro was shot at an angle to avoid glare in the bright light of the dining table. The numbers are large and very clear on a contrasting background. In the rear photo you can see the magnet or magnets and two AAA batteries already installed. You must pull the plastic tab out of the battery compartment for the batteries to touch and the timer to go off. The first photo shows how it will look when you receive it. The plastic mount was glued to mine so I had to use scissors to get at it. In hindsight I had to use a sharp cardboard cutter to cut through the clear plastic mount to avoid cutting through the thick paper backing. I tried not to cut any further than necessary because the instructions are on the back. You'll probably have to read the instructions as it's not entirely intuitive at first how it works. But after using it a couple of times, everything becomes perfectly clear.
