Review on Polaroid ID820-WHITE-OD-2 Slim Digital Video Camera (Pearl White) by Eduardo Murillo

Revainrating 2 out of 5

As a simple digital camera, up to 200 euros is not bad.

See below Upgraded from 4 to 2 stars The best thing about this camera is its small size, it's about the size of a cell phone making it easy to maneuver around to take anywhere. We took it to Disney and overall the footage was fine. Due to the very small lens, it suffered in low light, becoming very grainy and having trouble focusing. But everything was great outside. The image stabilization wasn't the best (I previously had a Sony phone camera which was great in this regard) so I had to try to stay still and not pan too much to get the best video quality. Once we figured out how to work with him, we got great shots. There's only digital zoom (120x) which is pretty much useless, the quality drops a lot, but we've found that when you have a lot of things in the frame you zoom in on a key element and adjust the camera and then zoom out again, the overall material got better. As a basic point-and-shoot digital camera for less than $200, it's pretty good. To edit. The camera tends to break around the screen (plastic cracks). I had 2 and both had it. Shots in bright sunlight are good, but indoors could be a lot better, and now that Sony has a Sub-200 camera or two, this one is becoming less and less attractive. However, I still like the idea of being in my pocket.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
