I was pleasantly surprised at how tightly the holder closes. Actually I didn't expect to seal it! I thought it would be more like those event badge holders, so this feature was a plus I wasn't expecting! I didn't test how waterproof the zipper mechanism is, but it took some finger strength to open and I don't plan on swimming with my map, so that's fine. It takes some care to close, but it closed very well when I lined them up on both sides and squeezed firmly. I see there are some reviews saying the holder is not big enough for CDC COVID vaccine cards. It fit perfectly in any room so I didn't have to stuff it in, but my mother didn't like it. Make sure you measure your card before purchasing, or if you crop your card make sure you don't accidentally crop the relevant information. It comfortably fits the size of 4.25 × 3 inches. I don't need pins but they are good for showing my belief in science!
