Review on πŸ”Œ 10 Pack 2 Pin LED Strip Connector Biantie La Unwired Clips - Easy Solderless Connection for 12v 24v Single Color Lights by Tony Wylie

Definitely not universal.

A few notes: the product description says it is suitable for a range of wire gauges. This may be true for some large wires, but certainly not for 22 AWG wire. The terminals do not pinch the wires (at the point of contact OR stripped through the entire thickness of the insulation) to hold them in place. As a result, I soldered the contacts of this "solderless" connector. The pins on the side of the wires are bowl shaped (if you have a tool that fits in there you could pinch them) which are good for soldering. Works very well with light bars. This can vary with different flashlight brands, but I've had high-density HitLights light bars and when you push the bar all the way down to make contact with the spring fingers, the nearby light interferes with the clip. I was able to get it to work, but it's NOT perfect. Perhaps this works better with low density lights where the spacing is greater. Maybe other brands work better. It looks like this can be fixed by shortening the clamp on the side of the band or lengthening the spring pins. I would not recommend this product. To be honest, since I ended up soldering the wires to the pins in the connector, I'd be better off just soldering directly to the light strips. I just found myself not very good with a soldering iron. If you're better at soldering, skip them altogether and just make hard contacts.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
