I initially bought mine from Micro Center, not Revain, but felt it was time to share my knowledge. Some engineering went into this panel, but form prevailed over function for two reasons. First, while the front of the panel is identical to the 144Hz panel, same frame and all, the rear has had a facelift. and this facelift poses a major problem for anyone using a standard VESA mount with two sizes of 100mm and 75mm slot (commonly found on a monitor swing arm). This mount will not fit the back of this monitor in most cases. The reason for this is that the genius engineer who thought a rounded back bezel would look great was the same one who didn't take into account that there isn't a VESA mount with the same roundness on the market. To make matters worse, when I contacted Samsung regarding this, they didn't even have a part to explain the oversight. Instead they offered to send me a wall mount - like it was what I was looking for on my desk. I ended up having to come up with my own solution after a late night visit to Home Depot, as follows: x16 1/4" x 3/8" nylon standoffs (say two per screw), x4 M4 socket head screws - 0.7x25mm. Measurement. This allows you to install the specified hardware on the back of the monitor with enough thread length to securely mount it. Alternatively, you can buy Ergotron's universal VESA mount adapter (it's shaped like an X), but I don't like waiting for something that should be included from day one. Second, the panel (while 240MHz/G-Sync ready) only resolves up to 1920x1080. However, there are already three (3) 2560x1440 monitors from other manufacturers, two (2) of which have G-Sync support. It doesn't really make much sense why Samsung decided to shelve something they clearly can already create, unless it's nothing more than an attempt to compete with themselves to push a more expensive product in the coming months . That's probably the reason, but so far that's just speculation. In any case, you will probably see a low acceptance of this panel as people are waiting for a higher resolution, in which case the availability of this panel in the market will be limited. Hope this review helps. My advice: save money unless you REALLY need 240hz. I will most likely be returning this monitor as the difference between 144hz and 240hz is pretty negligible and will save me about $200.
