Noctua fans have an excellent reputation in the DIY community. and in vain! 92mm fans aren't always considered the quietest, but this one is definitely an exception. I decided to replace the slim 14mm fan that comes with the Noctua L-Type Premium Quiet CPU Cooler_ Retail Cooling NH-L9x65 to improve performance and airflow. This fan fits this cooler perfectly and is not audible at all in normal environments. The presence of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) on this fan means I can maintain RPMs around 700-800 for most computing tasks, which leaves plenty of headroom if I ever need to modulate to 1500+ RPM for heavier tasks. When paired with the NH-L9x65 cooler on my Mini-ITX build, temperatures are typically well below 50C. It also comes with too many accessories to list here, but that's certainly a nice touch considering its affordability . Noctua fans are the real deal. If you want to stay within 92mm (especially with a CPU cooler), you simply can't go wrong with the NF-A9. If only Noctua would release WORTHY COLORS.
