No more waiting around for hours to move a few gigabytes. And the convenience of having front panel connections. I connected this to an internal StarTech 3.0 PCI adapter. This has been up for a while and works great on a five year old desktop. I have it in the drive bay. The only problem is that it doesn't fit snugly enough. As a result, it tends to move a bit when plugging in. I will blame this case. It seems that now not all cases allow the use of mounting screws. Rather than trying to fit the drive into a vaguely placed slot and then orienting it so that turning those plastic knobs will hopefully keep it from falling out. Should that be an improvement? What was difficult about the fact that you very rarely had to remove the other side panel and put in a few screws?
