In a California winter. I tried the robe out in bed for an hour this morning since that's the reason I purchased it, to wear while sleeping. My old robe wasn't keeping me warm in the wee hours of a California winter. This is a relatively light robe so if you want a robe that you can sleep in without getting overheated, this robe might be the one for you. It runs small. I ordered a small/medium (5'4" 140 lbs.) because that's the size I take in an Alexander Del Rossa robe. However, this small/medium didn't close enough in the front and was a little tight overall so I am returning it for a large/extra large. I liked the gray even if it has slight green tones and re-ordered in gray.
