No automatic locking with Apple cases

This is a relatively good automatic locking system. All you have to do is press the phone against the button inside the device and the levers will fall down and lock all four corners of the phone. The springs that tighten the arms are strong. I don't know if I'll believe that on a mountain route, but it's quite suitable for the road. very easy to install. The mount is plastic so I'm not sure how long it will last. If you don't have a cover on your Apple Phone, the device works/locks just fine. The problem is that most Apple cases have a cutout on the back where the Apple logo is located in the middle of the back of the phone. The button is also right in the middle of the bracket. Unfortunately, because the cutout on the back matches the button that releases the outstretched hands lock, the phone is unable to press the button when I insert my phone into the unit. You can definitely get around this by slipping a thin piece of something into the device to cover the hole so the phone pushes the button then I can pull the thin piece out. I was also able to place the top of the phone (I have an iPhone 11 max) in the cradle and then press the button, pull my finger out and place the bottom of the phone in the cradle. It's a little tricky because the springs are strong (I don't suggest changing the spring tension).

Pros
  • WIDE COMPATIBILITY
Cons
  • fragile
