My comparison to Charlie's laundry soap from a chemically sensitive person - very good!

This might be a slightly different review as I use Charlie's Laundry Soap which is a very similar product, an unscented detergent. Those of you who work with cleaning supplies may have a different experience and my comparison is more in line with that. I was amazed at how many downloads you got in that order. The extra stuff they sent, some salt soap and natural stain remover was a bonus. Haven't used stain remover yet but the salt soap was very comfortable and gentle on my face and body. However, this is a very small selection and I am only looking at these two bonuses. The packaging was minimal, with a few sweet inserts that talked about the company. I really feel like this is a small business that takes pride in what they do, has loyal customers and will do anything to help people. I checked out their website and found that they are indeed essential oil versions that I would like to try. Oftentimes, lavender-scented cleansers aren't just essential oils, and I get migraines easily because I'm chemically sensitive. So it's really mild and odorless. It's very similar to Charlie's laundry soap. One thing I noticed is that Charlie's detergent would sometimes give off a "lime" smell if I accidentally used too much or if the clothes were bulky. I haven't had that experience with this laundry soap, I feel like it really is odorless and the powder is more powdery and less "crystalline" which allows it to disperse more evenly compared to Charlie's laundry soap which has a "calky" smell . Not sure if it has the same odor removal ability as Charlie's. Charlie is well known for this, and people often just use it to rid their washing machine of weird smells. I've found that increasing the amount of powder I use works better against odor. So I was a bit disappointed as I was hoping it would last but I think the amount they say is honestly the bare minimum and if you have smelly loads you should double it. However, the ingredients in it are MUCH more natural than Charlie's, which is a huge plus, and I felt the addition of natural oils acted as a natural fabric softener, which Charlie didn't. That being said I was intrigued by this little company and am curious to try their flavored EO powder to see if it helps reduce the amount of powder needed for smelly loads. It's actually cheaper than Charlies even if you get the bulk form which was very cool and I liked the fact that they were very simple and eco friendly with the packaging. I think I'll still use Charlies for smellier downloads, but I'm glad I have the opportunity to transition from a dedicated small business to something similar and more natural.
