This plug is fantastic. I use a laptop with a second monitor. The monitor is old and still has a DVI connection. The laptop is brand new and only has one HDMI port. I used one cable to connect two with HDMI and DVI connectors. Unfortunately these cables only last about 6 months before they break and I always forget that the monitor isn't HDMI compatible when I order a new cable. Now I have nothing to fear. I just buy HDMI and can easily connect it to my monitor. The only thing that could improve this connector is to incorporate a Phillips or flat head in the screws to make the initial mating of the connector easier.
