I fell in love with this style of headphones after buying a pair of Sony MDRQ22 years ago and then switching to the MDR-Q23 when the Q22 was discontinued and I needed another pair. This is a great successor in terms of iteration of this product line. The fit and feel is very similar with the unique on-ear clip still located over the ear in regards to headphone drivers. If you liked these previous products and are looking for a second pair or need a replacement then this is for you rather than paying big bucks for models that are now being discontinued in the aftermarket. Instead, the cord has a sheath-like weave. made of rubber that feels more durable without losing flexibility. It's also more resistant to knots if it gets tangled as the fabric is quite slippery. I only have two problems with this particular model. The (grey) color looks gray and blue in the product photos, but the "blue" is really closer to the lavender shade on the product in real life in my opinion. It doesn't matter, but it's still worth mentioning. The second issue is that they are designed to connect to one of the built-in Sony remote controls that come with some Sony music players. This means the cable coming out of the actual headphones is around 22 inches long. However, you will receive a matching extension that is approximately 40 inches long. That makes the headphone cable quite long, but adds some bulk when the headphones are plugged into an extension cord that could potentially snag with day-to-day use.
