I tried this toothpaste when I suspected that my regular toothpaste was leaving plaque at the base of my teeth. (My dentist recommended the Irrigator.) But I expected to lose the cleaning power of my previous, harder toothpaste. I didn't have to worry. This toothpaste cleans very well and on a recent visit my dental hygienist was impressed that my gums were in such good condition. Better than usual. I'm obsessed with colloidal silver and I'm pretty sure that's why this toothpaste is so good for my gums and any irritation in my mouth. The taste is wonderful. It's a little minty, but not as rich as, say, Crest. In fact, the taste is pretty bland, so it doesn't give you the "fresh" taste of mouthwash if that's important to you. The only gripe I have is that the toothpaste gets stuck deep in the bristles of my toothbrush. turns gray-purple. It's unsightly, but a toothpick or tiny brush between your teeth can remove most toothpaste residue. It's just a cosmetic issue, but when I look at my toothbrush I love seeing the white bristles. But that's probably my nitpicking. I alternate this toothpaste with others that I like, but I think this toothpaste is very good and the only one I've found that seems to offer all the benefits of silver.
