Good for about a year

I really liked this product until after a year the plastic started to break. At first I thought maybe I accidentally stuck a large knife in the cymbal, but then I realize it's tearing around the perimeter in the creases where it collapses. I kept it in my sink without folding it so I'm not sure why that happens.
