pros* in good light it takes great photos* incredible detail* light weight cons* crappy battery life for shooting, not an action photographer's dream. I did my research and knew Merrill's strengths and weaknesses before I made the purchase. I won't judge it for its limited usable ISO range, slow write speed, or slow autofocus. It's a special technical camera and that's how I used it. horses for courses. Note 2: At the time of publication I have had my DP2M for a year now and have taken it with me on several trips (as a second camera). I noticed a month ago that the price of the DP3M had dropped to $650 and bought one without hesitation. That's excellent too. Note 3: I bought a power supply (not available from Revain for some reason) that has a module that fits in the battery compartment. This has two uses, for studio use battery life is no longer an issue as you can unplug power from the wall, and when you're on the go you can just plug it into a standard USB power bank for an oversized battery.
