Review on Eluktronics MAX 17 Processor Graphics by Joey Quade

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One Month Review: Best in Computers & Tablets

So I've had this laptop for a month now because I wanted to give it some time and work before I start the review. I'm a game developer and I needed a portable system to run in-development and unoptimized games, the engine, and my creative software. I was a bit skeptical at first as I had never heard of Eluktronics, but I decided to buy after honestly seeing how they responded to customer questions about battery life. Sounds like the answer from someone who knows how to assemble a PC! So far this thing has been an absolute beast! Pros: This system hit pretty much everything I wanted: - 17 inch screen - Comfortable 2k for scree size - Full power RTX 3070 (NOT Max-Q!) - Decent quality membrane keyboard (seriously more mechanical than most laptops) - Ethernet port - USB 3+ and C (plug in the Oculus Link!) - Still cheaper than big brand Max-Q builds - 1TB SSD with room for another M.2 • While the fan can get loud, it is a pretty nice white noise, like wind through trees or constant ocean waves. Which was amazing. , only increases brightness which I had to turn off for color accuracy) Cons: • Windows Home • GPU can get very hot when gaming. in beast mode. The frame rate remained stable at 90 fps • There are typical ISP backlight issues. noticeable in dark environments/scenes. But I really can't blame Eluktronics. The colors are worth it. The "rating features" that Revain offers are not at all applicable to my needs, and to be honest some really terrible standards for rating entire laptops. Battery life is obviously not very long (maybe a few hours) due to the sheer power of the system, but I'm still working near an outlet and haven't had to rely on the battery yet. I'm not thrilled with the camera, although I wish it had a built-in protective case for peace of mind.
