Like most people with lots of devices, I have problems with the "Cable Management". This is especially true in the living room where my wife and I spend most of our time as we get older and older! With a TV, cable boxes, soundbars, iPhones, 3 tablets, two laptops and lamps, things can get pretty messy. I've tried zip ties, wire covers, lockable surge protectors, and many other types of products to bring order to the chaos that's been crawling off desks throughout the week. I recently chose a new strategy that has worked great. This is a two-pronged approach. The first is the Coocheer power strip with 5 USB ports and 8 surge protected outlets. With the increasing use of USB power cables, I realized that I needed fewer outlets and more USB inputs. 5 USB inputs at the end are a great solution for charging tablets and phones. I only needed three plug inputs for lamp and laptops. The result is a very neat charging station with a small footprint. It's a well-made device, and the power light is a nice addition to show it's "on". It worked like a charm and solved the problem without being super expensive and still getting quality. The second product is the Globe Electric Surge Protector 7732001 6 Outlet Swivel Wall. This gave us the ability to have an outlet that accepts all plugs for the cable box, soundbar, echo, lamp and cordless switchboard without the need for massive surge protection. Globe plugs into the wall to replace and cover the outlet you now have. With a thick center bar to show it's active in low light, the two three sides of the fork pivot to provide separation for larger forks, so you avoid a "fork war" when trying to add too many oversized forks. The distance between the individual entrances is also ideal. Some of the multiple connectors are so close together that three connectors become two because you cannot install another connector. This device has enough space between each port to avoid this problem. Since it's also a surge protector, I was able to get rid of everything I needed to make it a much neater power plug with a much smaller profile. I am very happy with this solution and wish I had come across it sooner. !
