I've been waiting to try this, not good don't worry

I started renovating my home shortly after purchasing it so I decided to wait to set it up until I got my job had and the rest of the house is reassembled and functional. Recently I opened the box and created the long-awaited print area. I created my block and was ready to run a test print to make the necessary adjustments and finalize the image. Unfortunately, the press platform could not be pushed properly by the roller. The bottom roller moved normally, but simply slid along the press frame and did not move it through the press with the slightest resistance from the linoleum block. I adjusted the height to allow for minimal resistance/pressure but it still didn't come through. I tightened it thinking that maybe he needs to hold the bed a little tighter. Not wanting to damage my pad, I tried tons of paper and varied the amount to see if I could get it to work properly. I took great care to maintain the same tension on both ends of the pulleys. I was disappointed that I couldn't thread short stacks of paper without the platen deck slipping off with even the slightest pressure. I took a short break from it and then came back to try paper-to-paper printing again. This type of printing is very unobtrusive - one sheet of standard copy paper, one sheet of 250gsm BFK, Blotting paper and 2 sheets of newspaper - and they seemed to break easily. Again no. The press worked, the press frame moved, until the upper roll meets the resistance of the paper under the web. This is a process that must proceed fairly quickly; the speed of the running press is ideal and usually does its job before the paint thinner has dried. I do the right thing by gently pushing the end of the press bed to move it and checking to see if the pressure is too much. Several stops and excitement prevented the result. The only way to get this press to work is to tighten it while it's sitting on the pad or paper, whatever it's going through, and then start it. Even then, the correct pressure cannot be achieved because it causes the bed to stop and the bottom roller to turn against it. Printing doesn't work that way. This process creates uneven pressure, if any. It is impossible to achieve successful prints on this press. It was a waste of money. I should have spent more money on abs that I know actually work. I'm not new to printing presses and how to operate them. I studied engraving as an undergraduate and taught engraving for several years. When I moved out, I no longer had access to the small presses I used to use. I took a different direction in my work, but I wanted a small, simple printing machine for my small things at home. I had hoped, that this would work for some basic stuff. The cheap price fooled me. This was definitely not the answer I was looking for. The cheap price fooled me.
