I don't think of this as an everyday tool but it's one of those niche purchases when I'm in a tight spot and need the right tool for the job. The nature of this tool is "bolt biter". These are sockets for nuts, screws and bolts that have virtually no corners for a standard socket to catch. To use them, find the socket that fits best, hammer it in, and then use a socket wrench to turn the socket to allow the internal teeth to bite further into the stuck bolt and turn it. Once removed, push out the rest of the screw with the supplied rod. It's a simple concept and Cromaly is experienced enough to pull it off. The larger socket also fits the lock nut on my car wheel. Losing my wheel lock key is reassuring and disconcerting at the same time. The kit even comes in a nice plastic case with a snug-fitting lid and retractable latch. The case should bounce and slide happily in the tool box for years.
