This is great if you have hard ground. We got this for a flat, carpeted room and found the little owl's underside to be too textured to slide on anything other than a hard floor. We added a smooth polyester layer to the base to make it work on our carpet and hold the door open the way we wanted. I'm not giving a star because it's perfect for hard ground, but I wanted to make that point clear. It's nice and heavy and really does its job on our interior doors. I wouldn't trust it to hold the front door in a light breeze, but it works well indoors and keeps all the doors open we've tried it on. Good luck with your search.
