Showa Department Store: A Disappointing Outing

I was interested in browsing Showa's web store because I am just getting started with the realm of safety equipment and power tools. Unfortunately, I came away from it all feeling disheartened and frustrated. To begin with, the website was difficult to use because there was an excessive amount of things from which to choose. There were no obvious sections, and the search bar was of little use. When I eventually tracked down the goods I was after, I was let down by how poorly made they were. The hard hat was too big and too flimsy, and the gloves were fragile as well. The tools weren't much better, too; several of them failed after just a few usage. When I went to return the defective items, no one at customer support helped me. Because of this, I was forced to make do with mediocre tools and spend my own money on useless replacements. To put it mildly, my time spent shopping at Showa's virtual storefront was less than stellar. If you're in need of reliable protective equipment and instruments, I wouldn't suggest shopping there.

Pros
  • a website that is easy to use and navigate
Cons
  • Products of poor quality or flaws reported
