Update from 05/05/2020 I have been using the chair every day for a month. The creaking and crackling did not go away but actually increased. Any shifting from side to side, front to back and vice versa will creak and pop. The left armrest padding fell pretty flat. It almost feels like there is a gap in the foam inside. Do not return the chair as it is difficult to disassemble and pack. Arrived assembled and well packaged. It sits higher than most chairs. I'm 5'9" and in my lowest position I'm on tiptoe with caster wheels. I had to use regular casters and my feet barely touched the ground. And no, I'm not a weird short-legged person. lol. Like others have said have the chair creaks a lot when moved or tilted. Not so much a creak but more like a plastic crack due to a bad fit somewhere. After 3 days it's still there. It's quite comfortable but the fact that your Legs dangle or anything other than the lowest setting interferes with the ergonomics of the chair when I can sit a little lower
