Review on πŸ”€ Oxford Threading Alphabet Toy Wood by Zac Pewitt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for developing my sons fine motor skills. I would like some of the beads to have a slightly lighter image/word on the back.

I like to encourage my son to play with toys that challenge him and make him think. I avoid plastic, noisy battery powered toys (except Lego, they're cool). They have become a great addition to our toy collection. My son loves these pearls. We play with them and either he tries to string the beads or I hold the string and he strings them on. I'll talk about what's on the bead and then we'll place it. Sometimes we find all the yellow beads and tie them, sometimes we look for animals and sometimes we just hang something on the string. The laces are good. I was impressed that the plastic piece at the end (I have no idea what that piece is called) is nice and long. This will help him push it all the way through and support him until he comes out the other side. The laces are long enough to run the entire alphabet, but an extra inch would be good for that. There are two small problems with them. Firstly, some beads have different arrangement of image and letter. Obviously this was necessary to accommodate the larger image and letter, but for someone who's a bit neurotic like me, it's a little annoying. Luckily, this isn't something a 2 or 3 year old will notice or care about. Another issue is that I wish the pictures on the back were a little more simplified. My son is almost 2 1/2 so the yacht becomes the boat for him. Impala and subterranean pearls are similar in complexity. For him, the dungeon is far from a concept that he will understand. Despite my two small problems, these are wonderful beads. They are well finished and the paintwork is well done. There are no quality problems at all. Came in a branded storage bag. They were sent to me for testing and verification. This has nothing to do with my rating or review, this is my honest opinion.

Pros
  • This alphabet and numeric pad stringing game is an ideal toy for kids to learn the alphabet, numbers, counting, colors and shapes, different categories of objects, practice concentration, creative thinking, eye-hand coordination and focus on the Prepare to tie shoelaces. These are great number games for kids and alphabet games.
Cons
