I love camping and camping and bought this solar powered emergency handheld radio to take with me on these adventures. I live in the Midwest so there aren't many natural disasters there aside from snow storms so thought I'd add this to my camping/hiking gear. It's very functional and super easy to use. It runs on batteries, lithium batteries, crank or solar power, so there shouldn't be any reason why you can't use it. You also have some power to charge your phone or tablet. The hand grip is easy to use and the light is very bright. It is small in size but sturdy and lightweight. Not too expensive, so if a replacement is needed, it's not too expensive. Great for my camping/hiking adventures and I may have to buy another one for emergencies!
