I love these silicone fingertips for "hot" tasks like working with hot glue, ironing out creases and wrinkles, and handling small hot items from the oven (cakes, cookies, etc.). When to use a spatula is not entirely correct. The colors are nice so each set can be assigned to a specific task (so my sticky fingers don't touch the fabric or baked goods). They fit well and are snug which helps with dexterity, but if you have large fingers you may need to mix colors to create a set that is comfortable for you. They're also thick enough to protect against contact burns, but not so thick that you can't feel what you're doing. These silicone beds are very comfortable, well made and effective. If various hot tasks make you prone to minor burns, do yourself a favor and take them.
