Material looks worn after the first wash

Slightly large side, had to send back and order the smaller side. They are very sweet . However, after just one wash it looks very worn. I only washed my daughters and decided to wait and not use the others until December's photo day. For the price I was expecting a better material that will hold up to multiple washes.
