Great upgrade for older lathes
Combined with the AXA QC tool holder, this set is a real insider tip. This is a definite improvement over 1/4" HSS bits held in a lantern holder. The plates must be pressed down firmly before use, but the plates themselves are usable. The boring bar has flat surfaces for use in a traditional holder, eliminating the need for a dedicated boring bar holder.
