I like the Switch Pro Controller. But the D-Pad is terrible. And the right stick is a bit dodgy if you release it too quickly. It seems to turn you the other way. (Only in some games like Animal Crossing) the deadzone is probably too small. However, this third-party 8-bit controller does everything well! The D-Pad is precise and responsive, the analog stick behaves as expected, and the build quality is appealing. It is also very comfortable to hold. Modern games run just as well with this controller and retro games are 1000% better. Yes…. It lacks HD hum (but has normal hum) and lacks NFC for Amiibos, but I don't mind that. The only thing you have to do is turn on the switch manually. Then press the start button on the controller. Then you are a couple. If you can't get up to press the button on the Switch to wake it up, maybe stick with licensed controllers. But other than that, I genuinely believe this controller is superior to anything Nintendo has to offer (barring future software updates).
