I read all the positive reviews on this model and thought it would be a great addition considering I am transporting a 7700lb Expedition 2011. It installed without any problems and my iPod 12 connected right after downloading the app and following all the instructions. I've tried different settings and honestly haven't noticed any improvement in throttle response. I got into city mode 5 and still didn't see any noticeable improvement. One thing that really bothered me was that I had to manually reconnect every time I got in the car. How painful. I like to keep my phone in my pocket so I don't forget it when I go out. Returning is not a problem. Last night I got in the car and noticed that the air conditioning wouldn't turn on. Then when I tried to connect to Pedal Commander it gave me an error saying it's not connected to the obd2 port, that backup isn't available. I checked to make sure I hadn't accidentally knocked it out, but it was securely in place. After trying several times to reconnect, I noticed that it wouldn't even connect to my phone via Bluetooth. In fact, it didn't even see him. My air conditioner still doesn't work so I unplugged my computer from the system. My AC still doesn't work so now I need to find out if my pedal control box got messed up somehow. The PC will be back tomorrow. Luckily this failed within the return window. One more thing. Bought used but works like new. Maybe it was defective from the start, but I don't risk it anymore. I personally would not recommend this product.
