Review on πŸ”Š BOSS Audio Systems P100F 10" Car Subwoofer - 1200W Max Power, Single 4 Ohm Coil, Sold Individually - Enhanced for SEO by Jeff Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very impressed - have a good return!

These are very impressive subwoofers for the price. I'm sure most of you know that BOSS inflates their RMS ratings on just about everything. I can't tell if they're overpriced (probably, honestly, I don't think they can handle 400W RMS each), but I CAN tell you that I run them at around 150-200W RMS each (I have, it there 2) and I get a strong, clear sound from them. They come in a vented box and sound great! Especially for the price - very impressed! I've only had them for about 3 weeks but so far so good! They sound like a high-quality, low-to-mid-power subwoofer. If you roast them by giving them too much power, don't blame the sub, blame yourself! First, I connected them to the BOSS AR1500M amplifier. The amp was underpowered - I think it was putting out somewhere between 150 and 175 watts RMS. I switched to a BOSS AR2500M (which I believe puts out around 300-400W RMS into 2 ohms) and they sound MUCH better. By the way, I highly recommend this amp - a good quality amp, just understand that the BOSS reviews are understated. If you compare it to a competitor amp for the SAME PRICE, I can guarantee that BOSS will outperform it. DO NOT use published BOSS specifications for comparison purposes. you will not be happy Heed this information about BOSS as a whole. In my experience with their speakers and amps, the quality itself has been fine and the performance has been completely insane. Therefore, the system configuration should be performed with extreme caution. After all, this is an easy 5-star recommendation. If for some reason they come out next year I'll update this review - it's too early to talk about lifespan/durability.
