Our three German Shepherds make for great product testers and we have bought all the Tuffy toys. This one has held up very well so far (3 weeks in): my Big guy will taunt the two "ladies” with it and they will begin a playful game of tug-of-war. The gator is still in one piece with the stuffing yet to be pulled out. I think it comes down to how dedicated the dog is to ripping it apart. My guys tend to chew it and work to get the squeaker to make noise. They prance around with it like it’s a trophy and taunt one another until it becomes a game of chase. Ultimately, they will find a way to separate a seam revealing the stuffing. This particular one has fewer appendages available to compromise the integrity of the toy as a whole. That being said, if your dog’s a tough chewer, it will inevitably come apart but this One seems to be holding up. Note: even after my shepherds killed the Turkey and the Mouse Tuffy, I removed the stuffing and it still lasted making it worth it for the price. They pulled the stuffing out of a seam but the rest of the animal was intact.
