Review on 🔒 WINGSONIC MRA266 2.5 inch 4 Bay SATA III 6G Mobile Rack Trayless 9.5~12.5mm SSD/HDD Internal HDD Enclosure (Enhanced Version in Black) by Michael Ringgold

It looks REALLY COOL when I put it where a floppy disk fits. The LEDs are star-shaped, blue for power and pink for data. Plug. Since they are no longer used, have one on hand. I bought this to replace a Kingwin unit that had a loose bottom bay. You no longer need to clone client disks. Now for the "good" things. The motherboard is probably Linux, but the 2 hard drives I tried lost their boot sectors. I'm using Linux, so I have an OS partition and a home partition. Chipset incompatibility? Got all sorts of errors loading. DRDY errors, COMM reset errors, etc. Using a Linux boot flash drive, I watched the errors fly by. The OS booted and my drives worked fine, all my data was safe in their home directories. All boot errors seemed to be gone and the drive was working fine. For 2.5" laptop drives, the bays are sloppy. Maybe the people who wrote that the drive was too narrow used an SSD? My laptop's drives were hanging out there. Lay it on its side to make sure the connectors line up properly. I've tried different cables, different power plugs, etc. The doors, as someone said, are a bit flimsy and difficult to close with the drive installed. I really liked the LEDs and the power connector. Too bad everything else was bad. YMMV. It might just be an internal chip that Linux can't handle. Let's go back to Kingwin.
