We are a family who cares about themselves tying a bow tie. I (the only woman in our family and the only one who doesn't actually wear ties) learned how to tie them many years ago (ladies, I've been practicing by tying them around my thigh, it's very similar to tying shoelaces!) As a result, I have always insisted that my husband and son wear bow ties rather than pre-tied bow ties. Although my 12 year old son has not yet fully mastered the art of fly tying, he enjoys wearing it to formal occasions. What's not to love? They look great, no risk of them slipping through food or taking them with you as napkins and once tied you can forget about them! sports kilts); The dark green microfiber tie has a silky sheen. It adjusts to neck sizes from 13 3/4" to 18". The tie is a good weight but not too stiff so the ends don't dangle and the fabric isn't so smooth that the knot comes undone when worn. The color is a true dark green (with a very slight blue tint instead of an olive/brown hue). At $9.99, this is a great value! I recommend.
