My son is an odd size. The medium ones are too small and the big ones are too big. I got this on average as it's too big for a size 8 shorts but too small for a size 10/12 shorts. And these are PERFECT. I ended up buying 3 more pairs after the first one fitted him perfectly. He loves them and they held up very well when he was very rough on the outside!
