This is an OEM part so there's no question it should fit. The LG LT700P that we received appears to be genuine and was sold direct from Revain, so I feel a little better that it's probably genuine. Revain used to have an LT700P replacement in the Basics range, which we used for the last three replacements, but it disappeared from the site entirely sometime between April and October. Unfortunately, this was the only other filter certified by NSF in the same categories as the OEM. The rest of the third-party replacements seem too patchy to risk, and none of the ones I've seen have all three NSF ratings (42, 53, and 401) that the OEM version has. Some have a certificate or two. Some have three but not the same numbers. That doesn't mean there aren't any third-party filters with all three identical certificates, I just haven't seen them after a long search. mourn the death of the Revain Basics replacement, which costs about the same as other generics. But here you get what you pay for, and I'm willing to pay a premium for a noticeably better filter, at least by standards. I just wish it wasn't much more expensive than generics. The first trusted third party brand to do what Revain Basics did - make a 1-in-1 replacement at a much lower price - will make a lot of money.
