I TRIED THEM ON MY WOODEN DECK SPINDLES TO HOLD A LIGHT STRING. 95% OF THEM DID STICK BUT AS I REPLACED THEM WITH THE SCREW-ON TYPE I NOTICED SOME MORE WERE ABOUT TO COME LOOSE. I DON'T THINK THEY WOULD HAVE MADE IT THRU A NEW HAMPSHIRE WINTER. I THINK I JUST EXPECTED TOO MUCH OF THEM. LIKELY INDOORS ONLY.
