What do you get for the affordable price of these fake looking airfields? Fantastic value well worth your dollar. I'm not a professional reviewer but I am someone who has struggled to find reasonably priced noise canceling headphones that stay in my ears, I am a graduate student, I exercise regularly and was even able to test them out on a round trip flight. Test areas: design, comfort, connectivity, battery, sound quality, ANC and call quality. Let's get down to business. Design: The body is slim, definitely fits well in my pocket, and the hinge is very solid. If my hands were sweaty I'd say it took me an extra few seconds to get them out, but the powerful magnets always keep each earbud in place to charge. 5/5Comfort: This section was crucial for me! I really wanted affordable ANC headphones that could sit in for hours without ear fatigue and something that wouldn't fall out when I'm running. Verdict. it was wonderful! I walked 4 times in a row in the morning and they stayed the whole time. No slipping or falling out. They came off a bit when I had to bend down to stretch, but never came out. Also, I wore them for several hours and they lasted much longer without ear fatigue than any headphones I tried. I use medium sized earbuds and they sit in amazing comfort for hours. I certainly agree when people say they can barely feel them. The stem helps a lot to keep the weight down so they don't fall out. 6/5 Connection: Overall, Bluetooth 5.0 pairing is simple and discreet. You can now connect to multiple devices BUT no matter what device was last used, they connect automatically, which can be annoying. So here's a simple tip! If you know you're going to switch from your phone to your tablet or laptop, leave your headphones on your headphones, go to your phone's quick settings and disconnect. You hear the rhythm and then connect to another device. When you're done using your tablet, disconnect it and you'll hear a beep. Then take off your headphones and they will automatically reconnect to your phone instead of your tablet. Disconnecting either device before plugging in the headphones is KEY! Range isn't the best, I have probably 25-30ft with walls on same floor of my house but no walls like outside, much closer to 50ft range. 4.5/5 Battery: Overall battery life is very stable and competitive compared to other brands. I'd say I got 5 to 6 hours on a single charge with ANC enabled. If I was just listening to an audio book or random music they were closer to 6 hours, but if I stopped and started a lot or switched modes it was closer to 5. Still, I'm happy with a single charge of it. I think they're great for working at home or in the office in the morning, resting and recharging your ears at midday, then coming back during the day. There are three indicators on the case that show the charging status. I checked the 24 hour claim with the charging case but that takes 3-4 days to a full charge and they fully charge in less than 2 hours. 5/5 Sound Quality: This seems to be an area where people vary greatly. Two things to note: FIRST - these are not Airpods Pro, they don't have the same soundstage and depth of sound as Airpods Pro, and second - the sound quality is BETTER when ANC is enabled. You get better quality this way and it's a bonus since it's the mode you need anyway. Still, for less than $70, they're great overall in terms of sound quality. It retains the typical bell-shaped sound curve with tight bass, not as punchy as BOSE or others but very noticeable. Ideal for getting up at the gym or listening to pop music. The mids were very crisp in my opinion and the highs were solid. Could have been a little more distinctive, but the vocals on songs like Queen's Don't Stop Me Now were crisp and clear. The highs were never muddy or too harsh. Again, not SONY, BOSE, or Airpods Pro, but very, very durable. 5/5ANC: Not sure why it's so far away, but it was a pleasant surprise. Some people say they're almost as good as the Airpods Pro, I wouldn't agree, but my real testing locations have been a coffee shop, my house next to the air conditioner, and flying on an airplane. Worst of the 3 areas was the cafe, voices were still fairly clear next to me and unfortunately it didn't obscure the mill like I had hoped BUT it still muted everything and the music was half the volume at 5-10. everything faded for minutes. There were no voices to be heard and the only sound they could hear was the sound of machines being used, but again much quieter. For my private, air-conditioned space, the ANC did a great job of blocking out low-decibel background noise like air conditioners and fans. Finally fly. While the ANC dampened flight very well, it didn't block out all flight noise, but with the music at 50-60% volume it was almost as if the aircraft engine was white noise that didn't overwhelm the music. It was definitely a welcome help and I was able to take a quick nap with no problem. Also the transparency mode is ok. Nothing outstanding, and it amplifies voices well, but amplifies a lot of other sounds as well. Great for the airport or for a jog, to be aware of your surroundings or calls, a busy coffee shop can be sensory overload. 4.5/5 call quality: last but not least. Call quality, I've found it really depends on your device. If you have an iPhone calling another iPhone, the audio is fine, warm call quality with no reverb or wind tunnel sound. However, if it's an Android iPhone, I seem to have noticed that some kind of wind tunnel responds with echoes and noise trapped inside the tube. Everything about the call is crisp and clear, but the overall experience won't be the same as the Airpods Pro. 4/5 overall rating? GET THESE EARPHONES. I can't say enough good things about them, I chose space gray and I love that color and I'm thinking about getting navy blue too because they look so cool. They're perfect for students who need budget-friendly ANC, those who work at a desk and need some musical isolation, those who want good running and workout headphones, or those who don't want to spend $200 and a want to make a bargain. I love them and hope you find this review helpful.
